NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (05/22/24)

Regular season record: 202-130
Playoff record: 35-34

Naz Reid (F/C – MIN): OVER 9.5 points

Reid has played an important role for Minnesota in the postseason, but still sporadically gets under minutes (less than 22 per night) due to the success of the Timberwolves' starting five. However, Reid has scored 10 or more points in three of his last four games and in eight of his 12 total playoff games. Reid scored 27, 15 and 12 goals in his three games against the Mavericks during the regular season. Rap the More on Reid for Game 1.

Jaden McDaniels (F – MIN): OVER 10.5 points

Jaden McDaniels was the spark that helped catapult the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals, so look for his teammates to keep feeding him when he has good looks from beyond the arc. McDaniels scored 21 and 23 in the T'Wolves' Games 6 and 7 wins and could be the X-factor in this series. Jab the More on Jaden for Game 1.

Luka Doncic (G/F – DAL): OVER 7.5 rebounds (Alt Line)

While the 5.5 alt line is the most attractive due to the sky-high probability, we will instead lower the limit from 8.5 to 7.5 so that we can maintain a more appetizing multiplier. Luka has grabbed ten or more rebounds in each of his last five games and will need to play a role on the boards to make up for the size difference up front. Luka managed just six rebounds in each of the two games he played against Minnesota this season, but will have a lot more help in this series in the form of a healthy Kyrie Irving and impact trade deadline acquisitions PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford . Tap 5.5 if past matchup data tires you out, but otherwise tap Doncic at 7.5 rebounds.

Authors' Note: The lines on Sleeper are constantly changing (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high chance that one or all of the numbers will no longer be the same when you open your app. The values are excellent when first released, the only catch is that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
