Today's shooting in Chester, Pa.: 5 shots shot, 2 fatal, at Delaware County laundry store; Suspect in custody

CHESTER, Pa. – An employee of a company in Chester, Pennsylvania, opened fire on Wednesday morning, killing two people and leaving three others injured.

The suspect, who WPVI, an ABC Philadelphia affiliate, has learned has made threats in the past, is in custody. This person's name has not been released.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 a.m. in Delaware County Linen.

The deceased were employees.

“Two individuals who unfortunately lost their lives simply because they showed up at work today,” said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer.

It is not yet known what motivated the suspect to open fire and whether the victims were targeted.

Chopper 6 was on the scene Wednesday morning after a shooting at a store in Chester, Pennsylvania.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a black Hyundai.

However, that individual was stopped by a police officer from Trainer, Pennsylvania who was on scene.

According to officers, a gun was found in the suspect's car. It was not immediately known whether the gun was the cause of the shooting.

One of those shot was said to be a supervisor at the company, the mayor of Chester said. It is not known whether this superior was among the dead.

The three injured victims are said to have serious injuries.
