Alia Bhatt's dance video from Kalank gets thumbs up from the Academy

Alia Bhatt's fans have another reason to celebrate. The official Instagram account of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shared a video of the actress' popular song. Ghar More Pardesiya from the movie Kalank (2019). The song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal. The film, produced by Karan Johar, also stars Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit. The caption read, “Alia Bhatt performs Ghar More Pardesiya (singing by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film Kalank. Directed by Abhishek Varman; Cast: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha; Song composed by Pritam.” Chakraborty; Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Earlier this year, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released a video from the 2015 epic historical romance film, Bajirao Mastani on her Instagram handle. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film boasted a star cast including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles. Adapted from Nagnath S. Inamdar's Marathi novel Rough, Bajirao Mastani The story of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I (1700–1740) and his second wife Mastani is intricately woven together. In the shared clip, Deepika Padukone gracefully danced to the enchanting tune of Deewani Mastani from the movie. The caption on the post from the Academy Awards, colloquially known as 'Oscars', read: 'Deepika Padukone performs 'Deewani Mastani' (sung by Shreya Ghoshal) from the film Bajirao Mastani. Director: Sanjay Leela Bhansali. With Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.”

A week ago, Alia Bhatt attended the new Gucci Cruise 2025 fashion show by Sabato De Sarno. The event took place at the Tate Modern in London, where Gucci presented its latest collection. Alia Bhatt looked stunning as ever in a strapless bodycon midi dress. Her sleek, tied locks complemented her dewy makeup perfectly. The star-studded evening was hosted by Gucci's creative director Sabato De Sarno, who welcomed celebrities from around the world to Tate Modern and rolled out the red carpet at Rosso Ancora.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt made her Hollywood debut last year. She starred opposite Gal Gadot in Heart Of Stone. She also won the Best Actress award at the 69th National Film Awards in Delhi last year. Her upcoming projects include Jigra starrer Vedang Raina and Love & War.
