Molson Coors and Fort Worth Teamsters agree on new contract

CONTINUED TO BE WORTH ITAfter almost three months On the picket line, the Molson Coors Teamsters in Fort Worth have agreed to a new contract.

In Fort Worth, Teamsters are on strike demanding wage increases and better benefits after months of unsuccessful negotiations with their employer over a new three-year contract. The negotiations had begun in November.

Teamsters says their new contract secures wage increases, improves benefits and restores health care to retirees.

“Our members never gave up, they pushed this company back until they got a fair contract that recognized their contributions. Teamsters do not back down from a fight and we will always fight for what we deserve,” said Jeff Padellaro, director of the Teamsters Brewery, Bakery and Soft Drinks Conference.

In February, more than 400 members of Teamsters Local 997 walked off work at the Molson Coors plant in Fort Worth in protest.

CBS News Texas has reached out to Molson Coors for comment.
