Penn State football sets date for annual Lift For Life fundraiser

Penn State football will host its annual “Lift For Life” fundraiser on June 13 at Holuba Hall in State College. The 21st annual Lift for Life is the flagship event of Penn State's Uplifting Athletes Chapter, the statewide nonprofit organization that began the Penn State football program.

First held in 2003, Lift for Life is an annual event in which the Nittany Lions compete in skills and fitness competitions to raise money and awareness for rare diseases. Proceeds from Lift for Life benefit Uplifting Athletes, the organization founded by former Penn State football player Scott Shirley. Former Penn State player Brett Brackett is the general manager of Uplifting Athletes.

Since its inception, Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $8 million for rare disease research and grown to over 25 locations across the country.

Penn State's 2024 edition of Lift For Life is scheduled to begin June 13 at 4 p.m. The public is warmly invited. The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children. A children's clinic begins at 4:30 p.m. Penn State asks fans to park in lot 44.
