Will Justin Edwards be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft?

One player who could make it to the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft is Justin Edwards.

Coming out of high school, some thought Edwards might be the number one overall pick, but he didn't have the best numbers in college and now he's a player hoping to stay in the first round.

Edwards has all the potential in the world, which is why a team will be willing to take a shot at him, but coaches will need to bring out a lot of raw talent at the next level. Some mock drafts have Edwards taken at the end of the first round, and he played well in scrimmages during the NBA Combine.

Edwards joined the Kentucky Wildcats late in the season and the hope is that he can carry that momentum into the NBA and fulfill the potential that the entire Big Blue Nation knows he has.

Here's part of the scouting report on Edwards from the Draft Digest on Fan Nation: “A smooth left-handed shooter, Edwards has the skill and size to be the perfect NBA wing. As such, there's no doubt he has what it takes to emerge as a top pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, especially with his ability to operate on the perimeter. Every year, at least one player of his archetype is selected early in the draft, especially given the importance that wing players and position size have gained in the modern NBA. While he's proven to be effective without the ball, Edwards can also make an impact with the ball in his hands. This is one of the main reasons he's versatile and should fit into just about any lineup going forward. It's rare for a player of his size to have the ability to create himself like Edwards does. He's great at changing direction quickly and moves fluidly with the ball.”
