Daredevil YouTuber Squeeze.benz arrested for assault in Queens – NBC New York

A YouTuber who posted videos of himself racing through New York City, at times evading police at speeds of 130 mph, has been arrested.

Antonio Ginestri, also known as “Squeeze.benz” to his millions of followers on Instagram and YouTube, has built a following with his daredevil videos of him zipping through traffic across the five boroughs. The NYPD has called him “one of the city's most accomplished street racers.”

Police said they arrested Ginestri, 19, on May 16 — but not in connection with his videos or his street antics. He was charged with assault for a Feb. 10 incident at the Steinway Deli in Queens. Police said the victim was at the deli in Long Island City when he was struck in the head.

Ginestri was arrested and charged with assault. A 16-year-old was arrested in April and charged with assault and harassment.

NYPD Deputy Chief of Police Kaz Daughtry said in a post on X that the arrest means Ginestri “can no longer treat the Big Apple like the Indy 500. Anyone thinking of putting themselves and others in danger by speeding recklessly through the streets of NYC should think again!”

But the NYPD was not the only police force searching for Ginestri. Police in the city of Fairfield, New Jersey, said he was wanted on burglary, theft, conspiracy and other charges.

He had also posted videos taunting police in New Jersey, including one clip showing him doing doughnuts on the street around a Newark police vehicle.

The details of Ginestri's lawyer were not immediately clear.
