Ron Clark Academy cadet goes from viral video to celebrated graduate

The young cadet at Ron Clark Academy who became known for his cheers when it was announced that his class would be going to the movies to see “Black Panther” now has another reason to celebrate.

In 2018, Jaycob Linsey rose to fame by dancing on a chair after being told they were going to see the Marvel movie that came out that same month. The video was viewed over 10 million times after being posted on Facebook.

Many of his former classmates from Ron Clark were there to cheer him on as he took the stage to receive his diploma from Therrell High School this week. A photo posted on the Ron Clark Academy page shows Linsey posing in his gown and hat, holding his diploma, minutes after receiving it. The same bright smile was on his face.

Linsey has another reason to be happy: he will attend Alabama A&M University in the fall.
