Live score updates for Tennessee Softball vs Alabama in NCAA Super Regional

Tennessee's softball teams are just two wins away from the Women's College World Series.

The Lady Vols (43-10), the No. 3 seed, host No. 14 seed Alabama (36-17) in the NCAA Super Regional, which begins Friday (4 p.m., ESPN2) at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. Tennessee won its regional last weekend and advanced by outscoring its opponents 21-0. The Tide had two close wins, one going to overtime against Southeastern Louisiana, before scoring the most runs against SLU in the regional final.

The Lady Vols beat Alabama 2-1 in their regular season series. Tennessee shut out Alabama in their first two wins before losing the final game 1-0.

If UT wins the super regional, it will qualify for the WCWS for only the third consecutive time in the program's history. The first series of WCWS appearances took place from 2005-2007, the second from 2012-2013.
