The Titans are lucky to avoid this worrying trend in the 2024 NFL schedule

The Tennessee Titans have an incredibly straightforward regular season schedule in 2024. The Titans have only one primetime game, a Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins in week 4.

A total of 14 of Tennessee’s 16 announced start times are scheduled for 12pm CT (with one afternoon game, the aforementioned Monday night game, and a Week 18 game with the Houston Texans be announced).

A deeper dive by ProFootballTalk into the entire 2024 NFL schedule shows that the Titans were fortunate to avoid a particularly worrisome trend. A total of 10 organizations will play three games just 10 days apart. The Titans do not appear on that list. From 2019 to 2023, not a single franchise played under such circumstances. Nearly a third of the league will play under these less-than-ideal conditions in 2024.

Six teams will play Monday through Sunday and Thursday. Four more will play Sunday through Saturday and Wednesday due to the Christmas dates. Given the physical nature of the sport, this is a big challenge.

Given their only prime-time game, the Titans don't even come close to meeting those conditions. In fact, the Titans won't play a single game during their short week off, as the Week 5 bye follows Monday night's matchup against the Dolphins. The Titans have a plus-six-day off advantage over their 2024 opponents, which Warren Sharp says ranks seventh in the league. Brian Callahan, the new head coach, couldn't have asked for an easier schedule.
