“You are the biggest Popeye,” Gcinile Twala's lawyer tells her

After social media influencer Gcinile Twala’s sex video was leaked on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), allegedly by her former lover and foreign exchange trader Themba “Grootman” Silahle, she subsequently filed a case against him.

The sex video was created after the get-rich-quick master made a series of threats to his daughter's mother: He promised to hurt her where it hurts the most if she did not return some of the things he had bought her.

Gcinile and Grootman were known as a conspicuous couple who often and happily showed off their “soft life” for many to see.

However, their relationship was full of ups and downs as Grootman was accused of cheating on people and also dragging his girlfriend's name through the mud.

After social media called for Grootman's arrest for leaking her sex video, which only showed Gcinile's face, she actually filed a police report.

Her lawyer commented on social media today about what she thought of her client and her ordeal:

“When I saw Gcinile's videos, she knew I had told her that I had always been one of those people who said that this girl was the biggest Popeye I've ever met in my life.”

She turned to Gcinile, who was in the room with her, and said: “By the way, you really are, Gcinile, you are a Popeye. In my life you have never stopped being a Popeye.”

She added that she was helping Gcinile for free and commented:

“I could have simply asked for R50,000 and said: Gcinile, give me the money and I have to sort this out for you. I didn't ask for a single cent. I just wanted to help, so he has to go to prison.”

The lawyer was convinced that she had good arguments against the defendant and added: “I'll bet on it. I'm willing to give money to anyone who bets that he will go to prison.”
