Seahawks Safety Rayshawn Jenkins Talks Mike Macdonald's Scheme

There are many new faces in the Emerald City this year, especially at the safety position. Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams are gone. In their place is former Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars safety Rayshawn Jenkins.

Jenkins signed a two-year deal with the Seahawks this spring after being released by the Jaguars, and now joins a Seattle team looking to fix its struggling defense under new head coach Mike Macdonald.

Recently, Macdonald spoke to the media about the implementation of his defensive system. Macdonald was positive, saying that the mood is good and they are taking their time to build a solid foundation. Following Macdonald's comments, the media then got the opinion of one of his players to see how things are going.

Jenkins' comments can be seen in the tweet below.

Jenkins played all 34 regular-season games for Jacksonville over the past two years, including two playoff games in the 2022 postseason. His durability and veteran status will be critical for a Seahawks team looking to enter a new era.
