EA UFC 5 Update 1.09 Patch Notes Released Ahead of May 28 Download

EA will release a new title update for EA UFC 5 on May 28th, which will add new fighters and more! Luckily, we don't have to wait until patch day, as EA has already released the complete UFC 5 Update 1.09 – Patch Notes!

EA UFC 5 Update 1.09 Patch Notes:

Roman Dolidze (#11 MW) – Brutal best describes Roman Dolidze's fighting style. In the clinch or on the ground, this Georgian powerhouse doesn't stop hitting his opponent until he gives up or falls unconscious.

Benoît Saint Denis (#13 Left Back) – An all-action fighter with a UFC record of five wins and just two losses, with all five wins coming by finish, Benoît Saint Denis doesn't know the meaning of the word “give up.” When BSD steps into the UFC 5 Octagon, WAR comes with him!

Anthony Hernandez (#14 MW) – Don't let his nickname fool you, there is nothing “Fluffy” about Anthony Hernandez's fighting style. This relentless wrestler will throw his opponent around the Octagon until all they want is one thing: an escape, and “Fluffy” is more than willing to give it to them in the form of a quick submission.

New fighters

  • Roman Dolidze (#11 MW)
  • Benoît Saint Denis (#13 Left Back)
  • Anthony Hernandez (#14 MW)

UFC 302 Fight Week Challenges and New Alter Egos

  • These will be added on May 28, 2024 at approximately 4:00 p.m. PT.

Striking

  • Fixed an issue that allowed fighters to partially block the special lead hook block counter.
    • If you block a hook or overhand on your lead side, you can very quickly return a lead hook. Previously, opponents were rarely able to block it. Now the counter should land cleanly before the opponent can block it.
  • Fixed a rare tracking issue with head movements that distorted the shot trajectory and could lead to unfair hits.
    • Depending on the stats, it was possible that there were small gaps in the dodge window during some dodges. Aside from causing some punches to land when they clearly shouldn't, this issue could also cause punch trajectories to appear jerky. The specific cases we looked at were the minor side-to-side sway, but the solution we applied was more general in nature.
  • Fixed an inconsistency in the advancing lead hook/straight line combination when performed with the Celtic Cross.
    • This Celtic Cross in this particular combination was inadvertently 4 frames faster. It now has the same speed as the other straights.

Grappling

  • Fixed a rare animation issue when exchanging blows in the over-under clinch.

Other additions and updates

  • Michael Chandler added to welterweight
  • New vanity items added
  • Fixed stat tracking for several challenge types.
  • Fixed an issue where audio was heard coming from behind when using Dolby Atmos sound settings.
  • Fixed missing Tale of the Tape data for some fighters in Career Mode
