Evander Holyfield says he is “back” after training video

Evander Holyfield is back. The 57-year-old former heavyweight champion announced this in a training video that he posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

Holyfield says it's his first week back in the gym. The video shows Holyfield throwing punches and doing drills. It certainly looks like he's trying to get back into fighting shape.

The timing of the video has fueled much speculation about Holyfield's plans. On Monday, Mike Tyson released a similar video in which Tyson announced he was “back.”

Holyfield has expressed a desire to return to the ring for a charity event. Although he wouldn't mind facing Tyson, Holyfield said his preferred opponent would be Riddick Bowe, according to TMZ.

Tyson bit off part of Holyfield's ear during their second fight. Despite this, the two are still friends today.

While fans may want to see Holyfield and Tyson again, it's possible that both videos are part of a promotional stunt. Holyfield tagged several wrestlers in his tweet, so it could have something to do with the WWE. Tyson didn't hint at a WWE connection in his video, although he does have ties to the company.

For now, fans will have to wait and see what happens next. But since both fighters posted the videos so close together, fans can hope that this isn't an extremely lucky coincidence.
