“The carrying out of this heinous massacre by Israeli occupation forces constitutes a challenge to all resolutions of international legitimacy,” the Palestinian president said in a statement.

The United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) said in a post on X that the photos from Rafah were further proof that Gaza was “hell on earth.”

Senior Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri called the attack a “massacre” and blamed the US for supplying Israel with weapons and money.

Israel's chief military prosecutor, Major General Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi, condemned the incident as “very serious” and announced an investigation into the horrific incident. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that it was a “tragic mistake.”

Has American actress Candice King reacted to the Rafah tragedy?

Meanwhile, journalist Sulaiman Ahmed posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) that went viral on the platform, receiving over 1.7 million views. The video's subtitle reads: “ACTRESS CANDICE KING CONDEMNS RAFAH MASSACRE AND DECAPITATED BABIES. The beheaded babies should be a barrier for all of us.”

However, the woman shown in the video is not the actress Candice King. She is the South African travel influencer Candice King, who frequently posts pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel content on Instagram.

In her latest video posted on Instagram and shared by Ahmed on X, she expressed her anger over the tragedy in Rafah, saying: “BABY! BABY! What the hell is wrong with you?”

She clarified that she was not denouncing the Israeli government, but questioning those “who are still silent.” She claimed that there were “photos and images of beheaded babies in Rafah. The beheaded babies should be a barrier for all of us.”

In her angry video, the influencer continued: “And if it didn't draw the line for you, then you're… you're done. You're done. I'm not crazy.”

The influencer can be heard screaming and yelling to make her point. She explained: “I'm not crazy. You're crazy! Because you're not doing anything and you think it's normal. To me, that's normal behavior right now. You're not acting normal.”

“You can see this stuff and say, 'Shut up, you're crazy! You should lose your mind. In fact, I challenge you to unfollow me and block the hell out of me if you don't want to lose your mind. Because you're a psychopath and I don't want to be around people,'” she concluded.

USA: Israel must take all possible precautions to protect civilians

One of the residents, who was admitted to Kuwait's Rafah hospital, told Al-Jazeera that after the attack, “the tents were melting and people's bodies were melting.”

According to a spokeswoman for the US National Security Council, the photos of the situation are disturbing.

Stressing that Israel has the right to pursue Hamas, the spokesman told NBC News: “To our knowledge, this attack killed two senior Hamas terrorists responsible for attacks on Israeli civilians. But as we have made clear, Israel must take all possible precautions to protect civilians.”

Netanyahu has faced increasing criticism over the way Israel is waging the war, which began with the Hamas-led attack on October 7. Officials say more than 1,200 people have been killed and 250 others held hostage. 125 people are believed to still be in Gaza.

According to health authorities in the Gaza Strip, about 35,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza so far.
