The best moments from Bill Walton's career as a radio presenter

Basketball Hall of Famer and television icon Bill Walton died on Monday after a long battle with cancer, the NBA announced. He was 71 years old.

Walton played in the NBA for 14 years, and his list of accomplishments as a college and professional player is hard to beat. He was a two-time national champion at UCLA, where he won three consecutive National College Player of the Year honors and was a three-time first-team All-American from 1972-74.

After the Portland Trail Blazers selected Walton first in the 1974 NBA Draft, he won a title with them in 1977 and was named Finals MVP. He also won another title with the Boston Celtics in 1986.

Walton's playing career is just part of the impact he had on basketball and the world of sports. After his playing days ended, the Hall of Fame player began a glittering career as a sports commentator. Starting in 1990 and for the next 30 years, Walton became known for his use of catchphrases, seemingly unrelated digressions and his relentless enthusiasm when commenting on games.

These are some of the best moments from his broadcasting career.
