Disturbing video shows attack on student on Framingham school bus

Framingham Public Schools expressed “deep concern” over a video showing a student being beaten on a bus.

A Framingham Public Schools spokesperson told Boston 25 News that the attack on the bus transporting Cameron Middle School students occurred two months ago.

In the video, sent to Boston 25 by a viewer, several students can be seen repeatedly hitting a student who is trying to curl up to protect himself.

The viewer who sent this footage tells Boston 25 that the child was taken to the emergency room with a broken rib, bite marks and blunt force trauma. The informant also claims that the bus driver did not intervene.

Framingham police told Boston 25 that the violent incident was handled by the school, parents and police. The school district says student safety and well-being is their top priority and that schools are working with their transportation provider to ensure students are safely transported to and from school.

“Framingham Public Schools is deeply concerned about an incident of violence that occurred on one of our school buses two months ago. The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority and we are committed to providing a safe environment for all students while in our care, including during transportation to and from school,” the school district said in a statement. “We take all incidents of fighting and violence seriously and there is no place for it in our schools or on our buses. In addition to ensuring safety, students will be held accountable and consequences will follow our code of conduct and support.”
