The 5 best quarterbacks in Kansas State football history

A lot of quarterbacks have come through Kansas State's program, but I wouldn't necessarily say K-State is quarterbackU.

Bill Snyder knew how to turn players who might not have been the most sought-after into good system players who could run the offense well. Only a small portion of Kansas State's quarterbacks went on to play in the NFL, but many were drafted and were great backups.

However, when looking back at Kansas State football history, there were quarterbacks that stood out more than others, so here are the five best quarterbacks in Kansas State football history.

. QB. K-State's best QBs. . Lynn Dickey. Players. . 1968-1970. Lynn Dickey. 463

The first quarterback on this list is Lynn Dickey, who played for Kansas State from 1968 to 1970 when the Big 12 was still the Big 8. In three seasons at Kansas State, Dickey totaled 6,208 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns, along with 4 rushing touchdowns.

Dickey holds several spots in the Wildcats' record books with the third-most passing yards in Kansas State football history. He held the record until 2005, when Josh Freeman made his debut for K-State.

Although Dickey had trouble losing the ball, he had a strong arm and did well for the Wildcats, making him the first former player on this list.
