The highly anticipated third-generation Renault Duster will be launched in India next year. The SUV's design is inspired by the Dacia Bigster and gets an updated cabin and new features

French automaker Renault is working on introducing the third-generation Duster in the Indian market next year. After being unveiled as a Dacia-badged model in November 2023, the all-new Renault Duster leaked images online three months ago. The company said the new Duster will play a major role in its new growth strategy for India called Renaulution. Ahead of its launch in India next year, here's everything you need to know about the all-new Duster.

New generation Renault Duster: Design

The new generation Duster shares design similarities with the Dacia Bigster concept. The all-new Renault Duster, with its boxy proportions, features slimmer headlights, Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, a large front spoiler, round fog lights and a chiseled bonnet.

One of the unique design elements is the “Renault” lettering on the grille. On the sides, the all-new Duster gets 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, rounded wheel arches, plastic cladding on the lower part and roof rails. Another notable change is the rear door handles, which are now mounted on the C-pillar. The rear profile gets a chunkier skid plate and Y-shaped LED taillights.

New generation Renault Duster: interior

On the inside, the 2025 Renault Duster gets a redesigned cabin with a host of features including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a six-speaker Arkamys sound system, wireless charging and cruise control, to name a few. Additionally, the center console gets air vents and controls for the climate control and infotainment system. For charging, the SUV also gets a 12V power outlet and two Type-C charging ports.

New generation Renault Duster: Powertrain

In the European market, the third generation Renault Duster is offered with various engine options. The SUV has two electric motors and a 1.6-liter petrol hybrid engine with 140 hp. This engine is also equipped with a 1.2 kWh battery and regenerative braking.

On the other hand, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine is coupled with a 48V mild hybrid system that together produces 130bhp. In addition, the all-new Duster is also available with a 1.0-litre petrol LPG engine. The SUV comes with five off-road modes – snow, auto, off-road, eco and mud/sand.
