Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us” inspires viral tribute

Kendrick Lamar’s instant classic Drake diss “Not Like Us” inspired a tribute that went viral.

In a video that made the rounds online on Saturday (June 1), a dancer at a strip club can be seen performing a perfect crip walk to the soundtrack of K.Dot's latest song.

The guests were obviously impressed by her movements and cheered the performance.

The success of “Not Like Us” was a huge blessing for the Compton rapper.

It was recently reported that Kendrick Lamar has caught up with Drake in Spotify's streaming stats thanks to their recent multi-song slugfest.

Shared in metrics by HipHopNMore's Navjosh via Chartmetric on May 31. Drizzy got off to a strong start in the fall with the J. Cole-assisted “First Person Shooter,” but K. Dot quickly caught up in the streaming numbers with his appearance on Metro Boomin and Future's “Like That” in March.

Both songs have been streamed over 300 million times, with Drake just ahead of Kendrick with around 319 million.

The next exchange was Drake's “Push Ups,” followed by Kendrick's “Euphoria.” Kendrick led the way with 135.3 million streams, compared to 93.7 million streams for “Push Ups.”

The next two, “Family Matters” and “Meet The Grahams,” hovered around the 50 million mark, but the Mustard-produced “Not Like Us” was where Kendrick Lamar really took the lead.

With over 217 million streams since its release less than a month ago, it far surpasses Drake's last release, “The Heart Part 6” – since Drake did not release the song on streaming services.

During the dispute, Drake also released the Kendrick Lamar diss “Taylor Made Freestyle,” but soon had to remove it from all platforms because 2Pac’s estate did not approve of the use of the late rapper’s image with AI.

The song, which featured AI vocals from both 'Pac and Snoop Dogg, was officially removed from Drake's social media pages after the “Dear Mama” rapper's estate gave Drizzy 24 hours to remove the controversial track.

Despite recent monumental success, King Kendrick seems to be staying busy.

Earlier this week, Terrace Martin added fuel to the fire by seemingly confirming that he is working on new material with the MC.

Martin tweeted: “I was with Roddy Ricch and created something special./ The Navy album.”

A fan then responded to the post and asked for updates on K.Dot: “Sounds like a capital W. But who is locked up with Dot now?”

The producer and multi-instrumentalist quoted the question and answered, without giving too many details: “All of us.”
