One person was arrested after shots were fired during a domestic dispute.

Two men and a dog were injured in a shooting at a home on Walnut Street in Natchez shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, Natchez police reported.

On Sunday, Douglas Wesley Douglas Jr. was arrested on aggravated assault charges in connection with the shooting.

According to initial investigations, police believe the incident began with an altercation between Hunter Crfat, who was at the residence, and an unidentified woman.

During the argument, the woman reportedly called another man named William Rouse to pick her up and take her to a friend's house.

According to police, Rouse then returned to the Walnut Street house with another man named Douglas.

Shortly afterwards, a fight broke out, police said. During the argument, Douglas pulled out a gun and shots were fired.

After the shooting, both Craft and Rouse were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. A dog that was in the home at the time was also injured, but police said it was unclear if the dog was hit by gunfire or injured by broken glass.

The status of the injured is currently unknown.
