John Rich's message about the Democrats goes viral

After the guilty verdict in the New York criminal trial against Donald Trump, John Rich attacked the Democrats and the country singer's message went viral.

“Only communists put their political rivals in jail,” Rich, a longtime MAGA supporter, wrote Thursday on X, formerly Twitter.

The post has since been viewed over 756,000 times. Trump, the first former president to be convicted of a crime, is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11.

The former president was found guilty by a New York jury on Thursday on 34 counts of falsifying business documents to conceal hush money payments to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 general election. The porn star said she and Trump had a one-night stand in 2006. The Republican politician has denied Daniels' claims and pleaded not guilty. He has said he will appeal the verdict.

Many users criticized the “Trucker Man” singer's remark. “So the United States courts are communist?” asked @netapolitics.

“In a functioning democracy, no one is above the law,” comments Chuck Throckmorton.

“This had nothing to do with Biden at all,” said Micah Bowers.

“The Democrats had nothing to do with it,” agreed Chris Colbe. “Trump was convicted by a jury of his fellow Democrats.”

“We have a legal system that allows a jury to decide. That's exactly what happened,” said Scott Simanski.

Other users, however, applauded the news. @BurninTRanch, for example, called the verdict “the collapse of the American justice system.”

“Amen [John Rich]. Preach it!” commented @Call_Me_The_DR.

“100% correct! It's a desperate move because they know they can't win fair and square,” agreed @armsparts2.

“BOYCOTT New York City!” wrote Matt W. Ruff.

“Protect 45 at all costs so he can turn 47,” said @GibStra.

“I have made another donation to the great patriot who will lead us in the fight to restore our constitutional republic,” commented Roberta Johnson.

Rich is a vocal supporter of Trump. After his appearance at Celebrity Apprentice– the celebrity version of Trump’s reality show, The Apprentice– In 2011, Rich praised Trump’s business acumen, describing the real estate magnate as “smart” and “methodical.”

The 50-year-old regularly praises Trump on X, where he has a million followers, but Rich wishes the politician would spend less time on social media because of his “divisive” comments.

“I'm like everyone else. I wish he would stay off Twitter,” Rich said during a 2020 appearance on the Fox News Overview Podcasts.

“[Sometimes I read the posts] and say, 'Oh, come on, man.' I think we all feel that way.”

He continued, “If he asked me, I would tell him I don't think he needs to say everything he thinks, OK? And he probably doesn't need to. Can you imagine all the things he thinks that he doesn't tweet?”

This is not the first time Rich has suggested that the charges against Trump are politically motivated. The 77-year-old is still fighting 54 charges in four jurisdictions, including his “secret documents” case in Florida and the “election fraud” case in Georgia.

After the verdict was announced, Rich shared an X-post from the former FoxNews Moderator and Trump supporter Tucker Carlson. The conservative commentator said the verdict marked “the end of the fairest justice system in the world.”

“Import the Third World, become the Third World. We just saw that,” Carlson wrote, taking aim at President Joe Biden's border policy. “That won't stop Trump. He will win the election unless he gets killed first.”

“But it marks the end of the fairest justice system in the world,” he continued. “Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family.”

Rich also attacked Biden in May, calling the Democratic politician “snooty.” A photo allegedly showing the 81-year-old sniffing a baby went viral in April.

“Trump is within single digits of catching Sniffy in the NY polls, and he's holding a rally in the South Bronx tonight. Sound like someone who's losing to you? #TickTockGoesTheClock,” Rich wrote on May 24.

The “Come Cryin' to Me” singer appeared to be referring to a poll that suggested Biden's lead over Trump in New York was shrinking. The poll of 1,191 registered voters, conducted by Siena College, found Biden lost 20 points in the state while Trump gained seven points.

Biden won New York by 23 percentage points in 2020. However, the poll found Biden still leading in the state with 47 percent to Trump's 38 percent.
