ICC releases video of Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Ravindra Jadeja and other cricket stars from the ICC Under-19 Cricket World 2008

The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently took a trip down memory lane and recalled how the current cricket stars looked in their teenage years. Taking to Twitter, the cricket governing body shared a clip from the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2008 in which several cricket stars, including Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Ravindra Jadeja and Manish Pandey, are seen introducing themselves. “Remember what your favourite superstars looked like as teenagers? Presenting the U19 introductions from @cricketworldcup 2008. Which one is your favourite?” wrote the ICC while sharing the clip on the microblogging site. The comments section was flooded in no time as fans were stunned by the amazing transformation of these cricket stars. Steve Smith and Virat Kohli, who had chubby cheeks back then, are barely recognizable in the video, while Ravindra Jadeja and Manish Pandey also look different without their beards. During their introduction, the then youngsters also revealed their favorite cricketers. Kohli chose the name of former South African opener Herschelle Gibbs, while Ravindra Jadeja chose Yuvraj Singh.

The clip also featured stars such as Imad Wasim and Ahmed Shehzad from Pakistan, Darren Bravo and Kieran Powell from the West Indies, Reeza Hendricks and Wayne Parnell from South Africa, James Taylor and Steven Finn from England and Australian pacer James Pattinson.

Meanwhile, cricket fever is high among fans as the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 enters the playoffs. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals will face each other in the first qualifier on November 5. A day later (November 6), Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad will face each other in the Eliminator.
