Marshalltown man sought in connection with fatal shooting | News, Sports, Jobs

A Marshalltown man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal shooting outside Center Street Station early Saturday morning; he is considered armed and dangerous.

At 1:20 a.m. Saturday, emergency responders were dispatched to the Bar Center Street Station at 19 N. Center St. after receiving a 911 call about a shooting at that location, according to a Marshalltown police news release. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male, later identified as 41-year-old Ramon Alexis Feliciano Nieves of Marshalltown, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders provided emergency medical care at the scene, and the victim was transported to a medical facility where he subsequently died.

MPD is asking the public for help in locating Victor Antonio Delgadillo, 18, of Marshalltown, who is wanted for first-degree murder and first-degree harassment. Delgadillo was previously arrested in April 2024 for possession of a stolen firearm.

“Delgadillo is considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information on Mr. Delgadillo's whereabouts, do not approach him. Call 911,” the press release said.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Marshalltown Police at 641.754.5725 or 911. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Marshall County District Attorney's Office are assisting the Marshalltown Police Department with this investigation. The Marshalltown Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County 911 Communications Center, Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Marshalltown Fire Department, and UnityPoint – Marshalltown EMS.
