Luka Doncic hits back at viral report about Kristaps Porzingis

One of the subplots in this year's NBA Finals is the battle between Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Although the two players play distinctly different roles on their respective teams and rarely face off against each other individually, an interesting dynamic emerges when the former teammates square off on the game's biggest stage.

On a recent episode of FanDuel's show “Run it Back,” former NBA forward Chandler Parsons said Doncic didn't like playing with Porzingis, telling his co-hosts, “They don't like Porzingis in Dallas… Luka didn't like playing with him, there's a real discord there.”

Doncic was asked about those comments during his media appearance on Tuesday and said, “That's why I don't watch so much of it. Because people don't know. I've talked to Chandler Parsons maybe twice in my life, so I don't know how he would know. KP and I have a good relationship. I don't know why people say otherwise.”

Parsons played two seasons with the Mavericks before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2016. According to Doncic, Parsons had no way of knowing how he felt about Porzingis because the two had never really spoken that way. Although things didn't work out for Porzingis in Dallas, Doncic doesn't seem to harbor any ill will toward the Boston Celtics big man.
