Kareena Kapoor travelled to Abu Dhabi for the opening of the Malabar Gold and Diamonds store at Al Waha Mall.

Jab We Met is one of Kareena's most successful films. It enjoys a cult following and many are in favour of a sequel to the film. Her character Geet from the film still has a huge fan following. As early as 2023, there were rumours that the much-awaited sequel was in the works, marking the reunion of actors Kareena and Shahid Kapoor. However, Imtiaz Ali told Times Now, “Whether it will happen, I don't know.”

In another interview with News18 Showsha, Imtiaz said, “Why is there a sequel to Jab We Met (laughs)?” If people want to continue enjoying the film, they can watch the first part! There must be a story and a reason to make Jab We Met 2. But let's wait and see if it happens. Never say never.”

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor was recently seen in the film Crew, which also starred Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film, which was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 75 crore, grossed over Rs 151.35 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk. The actress has Singham Again in her kitty.
