Woman charged with manslaughter in Carrick shooting

Pittsburgh police have charged a woman with manslaughter in a fatal shooting in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood Thursday morning.

Breanna Didolce, 23, of Pittsburgh, was charged Thursday with manslaughter and tampering with evidence for allegedly hiding the weapon used, police said.

According to a criminal complaint, police alleged that Didolce shot Jeremiah Anger at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday at a residence on Wynoka Street at the corner of Brownsville Road in Carrick.

Pittsburgh Public Safety told TribLive news partner WTAE that Anger called 911 to report he had been shot. When emergency responders arrived, he was found on the first floor of a home with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officials described the residence as a rental property with several private bedrooms and a common area.

Anger was taken to hospital in critical condition. He later died in hospital, police said.

According to the indictment, Didolce told police she shot Anger. She said she had a child with Anger and that he had threatened to throw her down the stairs.

Didolce was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
