Man shot after argument at Food Lion grocery store in Goldsboro, police say

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) – A man was shot dead at a grocery store Friday afternoon after an argument with another person.

The shooting occurred at the Food Lion at Wayne Plaza on East Ash Street.

Goldsboro police said 18-year-old Javon Langston of Goldsboro was shot near the entrance of the grocery store and later died of his injuries.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed that Langston was involved in an argument with another man before the shooting.

According to the police, there is no longer any danger to the population in this area.

No suspect was arrested.
