Michael Cera presents a dramatic transformation of his blonde hair.

The 36-year-old actor attended the premiere of his latest film Sacramento at the Tribeca Film Festival on Saturday, June 8, with a completely different look. Cera traded in his usual light brown hair for dyed blonde locks, making him almost unrecognizable at the event.

The star's red-tinted sunglasses complemented his new summery style. He kept the rest of his ensemble casual with a cream sweater over a collared shirt, blue pants and brown shoes.

On the red carpet, Cera chatted with reporters and posed with co-stars Michael Angarano, AJ Mendez and Iman Kerram. The road trip comedy also stars Kristen Stewart and Maya Erskine.

A few days later, Cera appeared at Bobbi Althoff’s The really good podcast, where Althoff questioned Cera about his claims that he founded the skincare brand.

“My name is Cera,” he tells Altoff. “I'm not saying that, but when you see my name, my name is Michael Cera, and people tend to see the obvious.”

He added: “I would like to say that I also have some of my interest.”

An official partnership between Cera and CeraVe was announced in February 2024 after he appeared in a SuperBowl commercial for the skincare brand. The ad playfully refutes the actor's claims that CeraVe is named after him by reminding audiences that the “Cera” in CeraVe stands for “ceramides,” not Michael Cera.
