$10,000 reward offered for fatal shooting of mother and her 4-year-old child on the Turnpike in Hollywood – NBC 6 South Florida

A $10,000 reward has now been offered for the fatal shooting of a woman and her four-year-old daughter on the Florida Turnpike in Hollywood last week.

Broward Sheriff's Office officials announced Wednesday the increased reward for the killing of 27-year-old Beatrice Saintvil and her only child, Janell.

Florida Highway Patrol officers found a mother and daughter shot to death in a car parked in the left shoulder of the southbound lane of the Turnpike near the Hollywood Boulevard exit late Friday night.

The child's death was confirmed at the scene of the accident. Saintvil died in hospital.

Family members said mother and daughter were inseparable. They loved to dance and throw parties for everyone.

“We want to know who did it,” said Kyanna Librun, Saintvile's sister. “We want to see their face and ask them why. Why? A four-year-old girl and a 27-year-old mother who has never had a problem with anyone, why? We want to know why?”

Homicide detectives with the Broward Sheriff's Office are investigating at the request of the FHP. Officials said they will “use all available investigative techniques to find the person responsible.”

No details have been released about a possible suspect or motive in the shooting.
