Suella Braverman struts her way to a viral hit on TikTok

Suella Braverman has released a campaign video on TikTok in which she struts with Tory activists.

The 15-second clip shows the former interior minister wearing dark sunglasses and green trousers, strutting to the soundtrack of DJ Fedde Le Grand's 2006 hit “Let Me Think About It”.

Ms Braverman capitalised on a popular “trend” on the social media platform that emerged from a funny video in which a baby enthusiastically reacts to an aunt’s suggestion of staying at a luxury hotel.

In the original video, which has been viewed over 40 million times, a woman's voice can be heard saying, “I have a question for everyone. Who wants to go to the Four Seasons Orlando?”

The woman's niece – who is apparently not yet two years old and is being held by a family member – then puts her finger in the air and says “me,” while another little girl in the room also voices her agreement.

In Ms. Braverman's video, the same audio can be heard, but in white text it says: “Who will vote for Suella on July 4th?”

As the “I” response is played, Ms Braverman is seen standing in front of about a dozen Tory activists, holding signs and waving.

More than 700 people have liked the clip promoting Ms Braverman's campaign for the new constituency seat of Fareham and Waterlooville.

The trained lawyer won the now-dissolved Fareham constituency in 2019 with 63.7 percent of the vote and a majority of 26,086 votes.

As part of a review of Westminster constituencies in 2023, the constituency was dissolved and merged with Meon Valley to form Fareham and Waterlooville.
