Three years ago, England came close to winning their first European Championship, losing to Italy on penalties at Wembley. A win in Germany would be only the second major trophy in the country's history.

But as if the motivation to write their name in the history books wasn't enough, according to The Sun, three Lions players could receive a share of a £14 million bonus if they lift the Henri Delaunay on July 14.

They report that the players have negotiated a share of the £24 million prize money that the FA will receive for victory. Captain Harry Kane and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham will reportedly share a £9.6 million prize pot.

According to the report, Southgate will be the biggest financial beneficiary of the triumph, with a bonus of £4 million being awarded to him, while his assistant Steve Holland has also been promised an undisclosed sum.

That leaves around £14 million for the remaining 24 players in Southgate's squad, a record figure that surpasses the £13 million bonus for the 2022 World Cup.
