Damian Lillard's meeting with Bam Adebayo goes viral

All-Star point guard Damian Lillard made no secret of the fact that he would have preferred to play for the Miami Heat before being signed by the Milwaukee Bucks, and that part of his past has now seen a photo of him and center Bam Adebayo watching a WNBA game go viral, as rumors of the pair now circulating have since taken hold.

Lillard always wanted to go to Miami, but a package that Portland would have liked never seemed to materialize. In a surprise move in the offseason, the Milwaukee Bucks arranged a three-way trade to acquire star guard Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers. The Bucks sent a package led by veteran guard Jrue Holiday to the Blazers, providing a dynamic backcourt scoring threat for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Although he originally planned to join the Heat, Lillard embraced his new role in Milwaukee and put up impressive numbers in 73 regular season games, averaging 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.0 assists, showcasing his outstanding scoring and playmaking abilities.

However, Lillard's tenure in Milwaukee has been turbulent, marked by an abrupt coaching change and a series of persistent injuries. His Achilles injury ultimately proved costly, as the Bucks suffered an early playoff exit to the Indiana Pacers. The Bucks' high-profile signing of Lillard has yet to translate into the expected postseason success.

Just recently, a photo was taken of Lillard and Adebayo watching a game between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, as seen in a post shared by Playbook Sports on X.

As expected, fans of both teams have been venting their feelings on social media, with some of these reactions revolving around a possible collaboration between the two stars in Miami.

“Bam, tell Dame to propose from Milwaukee,” said armandojf33.

“He wanted to be in Miami so bad lol,” Jason tweeted.

#FreeBam #BamToBucks,” posted FletchDaddy531.

“Bam, we know why you’re here, big buddy 😂,” Heatlifer responded.

The two stars are known among good friends, which is why Lillard pushed for a transfer to the Heat. Adebayo, on the other hand, is one of the best big men in the league, averaging 19.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game.

Although this meeting doesn't really mean anything, the two's public collaboration will surely spark some rumors. It remains to be seen whether or not the two will be able to play on the same team in the near future.
