The sweet gesture of Prince George, Charlotte and Louis goes viral

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis used their first written social media post to wish Prince William a happy Father's Day.

Apart from a few football matches that Prince George attended with his father, the children of Wales were largely out of the spotlight in 2024.

However, on June 15, they returned to the spotlight when they joined a carriage parade for Trooping the Colour, the birthday parade of King Charles III.

And they followed up their big day on Saturday with a touching message to William on Sunday, posted on the Wales family website. official account on X: “We love you, Dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

The message was posted along with a new photo of William with the children that Kate took on a beach earlier this year.

The post was accompanied by two red heart emojis and they signed with their initials “G, C & L,” in reference to the system William and Kate use when posting. Since it was shared, the post has received over 2.5 million views and 96,000 likes.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have featured their children in social media videos before, including Charlotte taking a selfie with William to wish the England women's football team good luck at the 2023 World Cup.

However, this was the first time the children wrote a social media post together.

William and Kate were seen arriving at Buckingham Palace by car with George, Charlotte and Louis on Saturday ahead of the Trooping the Colour parade.

The children then took part in a carriage procession with their mother, while William took part in the military parade.

Later in the day, the family met on the balcony with King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other senior royals.

Kate announced her return to the spotlight in an emotional message on Friday, acknowledging how difficult chemotherapy was for her.

She wrote: “I am making good progress but as anyone going through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and need to give your body a rest.

“But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of it. My treatment is still ongoing and will last for a few more months.

“On the days when I feel good enough, it is a pleasure to participate in school life, to spend my free time doing things that give me energy and positive energy, and also to work a little from home.

“I'm looking forward to attending the King's Birthday Parade with my family this weekend and hope to do some public appearances over the summer, but I'm also aware that I'm not out of the woods yet.

“I'm learning to be patient, especially in times of uncertainty. I'm taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and giving myself much-needed time to heal. Thank you for your continued understanding and to everyone who has so bravely shared their stories with me.”
