Who is 'that England fan'? Andy Milne goes viral again after being spotted at Euro 2024

England fan Andy Milne has gone viral again after being spotted covering the BBC's coverage of the Three Lions' 1-0 win over Serbia in their first group match at Euro 2024.

Milne first rose to prominence when he was filmed supporting England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, holding up a replica of the trophy during a 3-0 win over Senegal.

He is claimed on social media to be a “Steve McClaren lookalike” and has reportedly supported the Three Lions at home and away games for more than 40 years.

Milne was again seen on Sunday during the television broadcast of the Serbia match in Gelsenkirchen, where he clenched his fists both before the start of the game and towards the end.

As always, he was filmed supporting his team from the front row.

Faisal Islam of BBC News also pointed out that Milne was his old biology teacher.

England got off to a successful start in the 2024 European Championship, winning 1-0 against Serbia.

Jude Bellingham scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute, converting a deflected cross from Bukayo Saka.

England seemed to be in safe territory for the first half hour, but Serbia came into the game better and tested England in the remaining hour.

Although England were unable to consistently demonstrate their superiority, they could have decided the game if Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic had not made a brilliant save to deny a shot from Harry Kane in the second half.

Jordan Pickford was tested a few more times later on, but England did not allow any clear chances despite nervousness towards the end of the game.

England's next match is on June 20 against Denmark. A win would see the Three Lions qualify for the knockout phase. The last group match is on June 25 against Slovenia.
